Originals and reviews

Investigations with quantitative, qualitative or mixed methodology, which have relationship with Nursing, especially clinical trials randomized (RCT), quasi-experimental (pre-post) and analytical (case-control and cohorts), high-level systematic reviews, and meta-analysis.

Sections recommended:

  • Summary. Maximum 250 words. Structure: introduction and objectives, material and methods, results and most important conclusions.

  • Discussion. The results will be discussed comparing them with other relevant investigations (differences and similarities), without repeating data presented in the results section. limitations of study. Generalization of the findings. Applicability. possible lines of research.
  • Conclusions. Verification of compliance with the objectives.
  • Bibliography. Vancouver Standards. Maximum 50 bibliographical references.

Editorial process

  • The Editorial Committee will evaluate the suitability of the research received.
  • Once this selection is passed, the research will be submitted to a “double blind” evaluation (the authors will not know the identity of their reviewers), and by peer review, two external evaluators (members of the Scientific Committee).
  • Once the manuscript is accepted, the editors may make style changes and modifications in order to facilitate the clarity of the manuscript.
  • The accepted manuscripts will remain in the possession of the journal, and cannot be reproduced without the pertinent permission.
